Hypnotherapy Myths and FAQs

Hypnotherapy myths

It's not like stage hypnosis and contrary to what you've been led to believe, hypnosis cannot make you do anything you don't want to. You always remain in control.

What happens in a session?

Allow up to two hours for the session. This will give plenty of time for Lysette to learn exactly what you want to achieve. The second part of the treatment involves a complete state of hypnotic relaxation and specific suggestions tailored to your own situation. It's very similar to daydreaming - when you feel very relaxed and comfortable. Clients often report feeling content and sleepy, calm and positive.

How does it work?

Hypnosis is a safe, controlled way to access your subconscious mind, which is responsible for your talents and creativity as well as your emotions. It also stores all your memories and habits and regulates all your bodily functions, including breathing, blood pressure, circulation, sleep patterns and tissue repair, making hypnosis a powerful, effective and entirely natural way of healing your mind, body and spirit.

Will it work?

While nothing is guaranteed in medicine or therapy, you will have a better chance of success with hypnotherapy. Lysette will put 100% into working with you to achieve the results you seek.

How many sessions do I need?

Hypnotherapy helps people fast, so even deep seated behavioural problems can be resolved in a few sessions, sometimes even in one.

Cancellation of private hypnotherapy session

Please be prompt and let Lysette know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend an appointment in order to avoid being charged for the session and so that Lysette is able to slot someone else in who may be waiting.
