Smoking hypnosis

How will smoking affect me?

Smoking hypnosis, along with our NLP and cognitive approach, offers you a comprehensive programme to make your stopping smoking a reality. You'll no longer have to suffer the often scornful opinions of society in general nor their acusations of your polluting the air for others in your community.

How will smoking affect me?

Every single smoker will suffer some sort of damage or illness as a direct result of smoking. Half of all smokers will be killed by their habit - half won't make it past middle age. Most die from lung cancer, chronic obstructive lung disease (bronchitis and emphysema) and coronary heart disease. They often suffer painful, long drawn out, messy deaths - needing numerous operations, medication and hospital stays, becoming more and more debilitated at each stage of their decline.

Deaths by cancer are also caused by smoking e.g. of the lung, upper respiratory system, oesophagus, bladder and kidney, stomach , pancreas, endometrium and through myeloid leukaemia; by respiratory problems e.g. pneumonia or chronic obstructive lung disease; circulatory disease e.g. ischaemic heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, aortic aneurysm, atherosclerosis or myocardial degeneration and from ulcers e.g. stomach or duodenum.

Some medical conditions, although exacerbated by  smoking, may not be fatal, but may cause years of debilitating discomfort such as:

Acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis (gum disease), back pain, angina, Buerger’s disease (severe circulatory disease), cataracts, Crohn’s disease (chronic inflamed bowel), colon polyps, depression, diabetes (Type 2, non-insulin dependent), hearing loss, influenza, impotence, optic neuropathy (loss of vision), ligament injuries, macular degeneration (eyes), muscle injuries, neck pain, nystagmus (abnormal eye movements), ocular histoplasmosis (fungal eye infection), osteoporosis (in both sexes), osteoarthritis, erectile dysfunction of the penis, pneumonia, psoriasis, skin wrinkling, rheumatoid arthritis, tendon injuries, tobacco amblyopia (loss of vision), tooth loss, and tuberculosis.

A reduced sperm count is often the result of smoking
; motility is impaired, sperm shape abnormalities are increased and sperm are less able to penetrate the ovum, ejaculation volume is reduced, fertility is impaired (30% lower in women), menopause begins 2 years earlier on average and the immune system is compromised.

Asthma, chronic rhinitis (chronic inflammation of the nose)
, diabetic retinopathy (eyes), Graves’ disease (over-active thyroid gland), multiple sclerosis and optic neuritis (eyes) are all exacerbated by smoking.

More frequent and severe are the common cold, Influenza, pneumonia and tuberculosis in smokers.

It's probably a good thing if this all seems very scary. You need a big enough incentive to make the change and what can be more important than your health and the quality of your life?

Don’t worry if quitting seems daunting. We know you can do it with a little help from us and our smoking hypnosis programme.
