The purpose of this service is to introduce to the workplace techniques and tools to achieve calm and relaxed focus.
We all have stress in our lives. For some, that stress seems out of control. It may be workplace induced or it may be personal stress which is affecting that person at work. Either way, the workplace can be an emotionally exhausting place to be.
Imagine, while at work, being given a regular time and space to relax and also to learn how to keep calm in even the most trying of circumstances. That’s what these workshops are designed to do.
Group sessions begin with an introduction to a particular aspect of health and welfare. Next you will learn techniques to alleviate stress, lower blood pressure and calm nerves, followed by a guided relaxation session.
In each workshop you will be shown a quick and useful technique you can easily learn and practice, to help you develop your own coping strategies. So for example, in the Stressless series, you might learn a special breathing exercise which calms you down, lowers your heart rate and blood pressure and allows you to think clearly even if moments earlier you were in a state of panic. In the Confidence series, you might learn a clever trick to allow you to feel instantly and supremely confident in any situation, no matter how anxious you were feeling before.
Each week you will also enjoy a 30 minute guided relaxation, which will allow you to take time out and really allow your body to recover from the stress and pressure you put it through. By listening to a gentle voice and natural sound effects, you will be encouraged to see, hear and feel a tranquil scene such as a mountain pass in spring or a tropical beach in summer, where you can let go of all the worries and responsibilities of day to day living.
This also allows you the time and space to assess what’s really important to you. When was the last time you had the opportunity to step back and see the whole picture?
Normally workshops will be presented to groups of between 4 and 20 people. But by arrangement, larger groups can be addressed.
